Madhyamaheshwar Trek
The second Kedar, in a meadow bowl under Chaukhamba
About this trek
Madhyamaheshwar sits in a green bowl at the head of the Madmaheshwar Ganga, with Chaukhamba filling the sky behind it. The trail from Ransi follows the river through Gaundhar and Bantoli, and the short, steep climb above the temple to Buda Madmaheshwar at dawn is the best hour of the trek. Moderate walking, a village and dharamshala stay, and a temple that most yatris never reach.
